How to watch M COUNTDOWN from multiple anglesin in Japan

If you’ve ever heard of the Korean music program “M COUNTDOWN”, you’ve heard of it and now you can watch it from multiple angles on your smartphone! What is multi-angle, though? I’m sure you’re wondering why. In this article, I’ll tell you how to watch it and what I thought of the actual experience, starting with an explanation of the multi-angle.

What kind of show is M COUNTDOWN?

M COUNTDOWN

As you may know, “M COUNTDOWN” is a music program about the latest K-POP aired on Mnet every Thursday at 6pm (Korean time). It is Asia’s No. 1 K-POP chart show that is viewed in more than 13 countries around the world.

There are more than 15 artists appearing on the show every week, so it’s a lot of fun to watch. When your favorite artist is making a comeback, of course, but other artists are also very attractive, and you may end up being hooked on someone else who was on the show at the same time as your favorite artist.

How is it different from a normal M COUNTDOWN?

Since M COUNTDOWN is usually a music program, it’s produced as a single show by skillfully combining many different camera angles, isn’t it? But this time you can choose your own camera angle for the multi-angle.

Here’s a video explaining how to use multiple angles in a way that’s easy to understand.

Here’s a video of the M COUNTDOWN stage at IZ*ONE’s FIESTA comeback, which I love and have watched many times.

The top is the regular M COUNTDOWN, and the bottom and top are both on the same screen in this multi-angle video.

In the first video, the focus is on the members singing and not all of them are in focus at all times. And in the next video, you have a fixed camera and you see the whole band members at all times.

With multiple angles, you can see this in a split screen and choose the angle you want!

Often, that’s too good to be true and not enough eyes! No need to worry about the fact that it’s all in one screen with multiple angles.

【Experience】Seeing M COUNTDOWN from multiple angles in person

I actually watched the Aug. 20 episode! This is amazing…!
I was a little busy so I couldn’t watch it from the beginning, but you can open the app in the middle and watch it from there.

M COUNTDOWN

I enjoyed that the screen was split into five sections, and in addition to the regular broadcast logo and subtitle camerawork, there was a fixed whole camera personal camera that could be changed to suit your own preferences.

There are cameras from different angles, so you feel like you’re watching a real broadcast station.

I was able to watch it without any interruptions in sound and image quality. I’ve heard that most of my friends who were watching it also had no problems, so there’s not much to worry about with the video being interrupted.

If you can’t get a good connection, please close the app and start it up again.

This is the point of the M COUNTDOWN multi-angle!

The best thing about it is that you can choose your own camera angle! Personally, I like a fixed fixed point camera so it was great to be able to look at other focuses with that as my main focus.

Being able to see multiple angles in a live broadcast was also nice because it made me feel like I was watching a live broadcast even more strongly.
It’s also possible to double tap the screen at your favorite angle to watch one video in full screen instead of in split screen mode.

As I mentioned above, the au Smart Pass Premium is only 499 yen per month, and it’s only one coin, so it’s easy on the wallet, and it’s a great ally for OTAKU who are busy buying things like CDs and other goods.

Notes on multi-angle viewing

We’ve told you all about the appeal of multi-angles, but there are a few things you need to be aware of.

Real-time broadcasting only

This Emka multi-angle is only available in real time every Thursday at 6pm when it is broadcast. It is important to note that it is not available at any time of the day or time of day.

Some stages are non-multi-angle compatible.

non-multi-angle

There are a few stages that don’t support multiple angles. In that case, you can switch to full screen instead of split screen.

It’s so fascinating to see things in a new way that you never did before! I hope you all get to experience M COUNTDOWN from multiple angles!
