90s Revival Unit SSAK3 by K-Pop Legends
In Korea, former artists and songs have been rebibaled one after another due to the Newtro boom and revival song boom, but finally the 90’s revival unit SSAK3 by K-pop Legend has been decided to debut on July 25.
SSAK3 is a unit of Yoo Jae-suk & Lee Hyori & Rain.
SSAK3
SSAK3 is a summer project co-ed supergroup produced by MBC’s variety show Hangout with Yoo. They are composed of members Yoo Jae-suk, Lee Hyori and Rain, using the stage names U-Doragon, Linda G and B.Ryong, respectively. They officially debuted on Show! Music Core on July 25, 2020.
The cover song “In the Summer (여름안에서),” which was released before his debut song, has a 90s vibe.
The original story of the video with soft focus effect applied blurred effect that was used in the ‘Summer in’ effect of DEUX.
SSAK3’s debut song, “Beach Again” went to number one on each chart on the day of its release!
Released on July 18, “Beach Again” reached No. 1 on the Melon, Genie and Bugs charts in Korea on the day of its release.
MV Shooting Landscapes
In the MV shooting landscape, Joe Public’s Live and Learn and The Use of Pain’s Jump Around KSI ft. SAK3 dances the New Jack swing in the cover version of Waka Flocka Flame.
RAIN performed typical dance steps of the 90’s such as Running Man and Roger Rabbit in the same heavy rain set as Joe Public’s MV.

SSAK3 members are Yoo Jae-suk, Lee Hyori and Rain.
Yoo Jae-suk is a character setting of Yoo-Dragon, Lee Hyori is Linda G, Rain is BiRyong.
The group photo shoot was also shown with retro styling and tacky poses, giving it a ’90s idol vibe.

Yoo Jae Sukk a.k.a. Yoo Dragon
Yoo Jae Suk is a Korean comedian, the oldest of the three.
Lee Hyori a.k.a. Lynda G.
Lee Hyori was the leader of Fin.K.L. in 1998; she became a solo act in 2003 and was a sexy idol who took Korea by storm in the 2000s.
She is a national idol who was known as the “Korean version of Britney Spears.”
Rain a.k.a. BiRyong
Rain, the youngest of the three, was a top star in the early 2000s.
H1GHR MUSIC artist Sik-K, pH-1, Jay Park & HAYON reinterpreted RAIN’s “GANG” remix version, re-break in “GANG Official Remix”.
Rain (Pi) himself also appeared in the MV.
The new word “GANG Challenge” which imitates the choreography of “GANG” of Rain (Pi) and “1GANG” which means to watch MV of “GANG” once a day is born again and is in the limelight again.
SSAK3 “In the Summer (여름안에서)” episode
The cover song “in the summer (여름안에서)” released before the debut song is a representative song of Hip Hop duo DEUX (듀스) which was active in the 1990s.
Lee Hyun-do, a member of DEUX who wrote and composed the song, wrote on Instagram, “The sky is open to us.And there’s SSAK3 near me,” and “the full revenue of ‘in the summer’ is said to be used to help the underprielded.Therefore, I am even more satisfied” and supported the activities of “SSAK3”.
DEUX’듀스” is a classic summer song that is still loved in Korea.
